Water Heater Leak Leads to Mold, SERVPRO Tackles the Job with HEPA, PPE & Expertise!

Our customer had a water heater that sprung a leak and affected a lot of their basement.  The wall in close proximity to the water heater had the most obvious mold issue but it ended up all the drywall from floor to about 2 feet up had to be removed.  With mold remediation we have to contain the area, run an HEPA air cleaner during the remediation to eliminate any possible airborne mold spores and then clean!  During mold remediations furnace units and air conditioning units have to be turned off to prevent any mold spores from traveling to other parts of the structure. Our technicians also wear Protective Equipment when taking care of these jobs.
